Garrett Leather opened for business in September 1988 on three founding principles of consistent quality, superior service, and on-time delivery. Over the years, Garrett Leather experienced steady growth and soon became the epitome of the American dream.
"Garrett", an old English word for attic, describes the humble origins of the company. The owner and current chairman established Garrett Leather on the third floor of his home. He was focused on providing the best quality leather products with unmatched customer service. Garrett Leather began as a small supplier, offering only one type of upholstery leather in a handful of colors. Within the first year, the company expanded and moved into a larger commercial space.
Today, Garrett Leather is a global brand with employees, sales representatives, or showrooms located in 25 countries across five continents. Corporate headquarters remain in Buffalo, New York where all orders ship from a spacious 80,000 square foot facility. Garrett Leather continues to be the largest, individually owned, upholstery leather supplier in North America, with its founding ideals firmly intact.
Garrett Leather's products are produced at the world's most elite tanneries to meet the industry's highest quality standards. Hides are handled with the utmost care to prevent wrinkles and creases from forming.
Customers may choose from over 600 color options in a wide variety of textures, including Sheepskin.
Most products are in stock for immediate shipment. Over 90% of orders ship within two business days of purchase. All major credit cards are accepted.

High Cutting Yields
Superior quality, extra large hides provide higher cutting yields with minimal waste.
Half Hide Minimums
Garrett Leather accepts half hide orders without imposing any additional cutting fees.
Garrett Leather's exclusive Fiberdye® is the dyeing process that results in true color permanence. Fiberdye® penetrates all layers of the hide to produce deep, vibrant, durable colors. Look for Fiberdye® when purchasing quality leather.
Most of Garrett Leather's products are treated to pass industry flammability requirements during the tanning process, at no additional charge. Certification is available upon request.
LeatherShield was developed to assist customers in selecting the appropriate type of leather for different applications. These products are treated dring the tanning process to provide flame, water, and stain resistance, as well as UV and anti-bacterial protection. All LeatherShield colors are GREENGUARD certified and are made to withstand the demands of high traffic areas.

Garrett leather consists of 100% organic reclaimed material that would otherwise end up in landfills. The tanning agents used are composed of natural minerals and all surface finishes are water-based. Most of Garrett Leather's products are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®. Leather is exceptionally durable, lasting up to five times longer than other fabrics, thus reducing maintenance and replacement costs, as well as waste.
